WordPress for Android

There are so many WordPress Blogs on the web and managing them from your phone has never been easier. The WordPress app allows you to add all your WordPress blogs either by signing in with a WordPress account or as an admin of a blog. You can moderate comments, manage your posts and pages, and check your Stats if you have a WordPress account. Allowing Push Notifications lets you be instantly notified of a new activity or comment on your blog.

Getting Started:

To start using a self-hosted blog, select the option on the screen. Filling in the URL and account details, if you are an admin, instantly lets you manage your blog. If you don’t have one, you can Add a New Blog at WordPress.com from inside the app.
Note: To manage a blog from the App, you must change certain Settings from the blog’s Dashboard. Go to Settings/Writing and tic both boxes in ‘Remote Publishing’.

Once signed in, you can edit, delete, reply or spam comments. If you receive a new comment, you get notified immediately. To change Notification settings, press the Menu button and select Preferences.

The top grid also has ‘Posts’, ‘Pages’ and ‘Stats’ (for checking out your blogs’ views). You can add, edit, delete and share posts and pages through any other app (Facebook, Twitter etc). The UI is much like the original WordPress when adding a post. Title, Content, Media, Tags, Categories and Links can be added to a post. Once done, you can save the post as a draft or upload it at your Blog.

See this WordPress Video for an overview of the Android App. Its one of the older versions so the Stats is not on the top:

Its the quickest and easiest way to manage and keep updated with your Blog wherever you are. Download it now from the Android Market for free.
