Tango for galaxy Tab
Tango is a free app on the Android Market that lets you video-call to your friends using your WiFi, 3G or 4G network. Tango can call/video call to registered Tango users both on a Tango account and in the device’s contacts list. Tango is available for iOS and Android 2.1 or higher.
So how does Tango work? You and the other user needs to have either each others phone numbers or email addresses stored in your Contacts. Both devices need to have a registered Tango account, which takes a few seconds and is free. When both parties have registered, Tango will show the contact in Tango Contacts and calling/video calling can be done immediately. When registering for a Tango account, a confirmation email or SMS will not be recieved. People can be invited to Tango by sending am SMS or an email from inside the app. Tango is best to use via WiFi but charges will not apply if you have an unlimited data plan.
Tango takes up a little while to connect to another device. Both must have the application open. The camera can be switched from the front one to the rear.
Since Skype has been a bit late in announcing Video calls for mobiles, Tango is a useful alternative. Download Tango by searching for ‘Tango’ in the Android Market.
