Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 Gets Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread Update
Smashing news for all Samsung Galaxy Tab 7″ users! The device just got a much awaited update to Android’s 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS. Gingerbread is supposed to bring a new user interface, overall speed improvements and lots more. You can update your Galaxy Tab via Samsung Kies now.

1: Download Samsung Kies on your PC here

2: Install Samsung Kies and update version (if prompted)
3: In your Tab, go to Settings>Wireless and Network>USB Settings and set it to Samsung Kies.
4: Connect your Tab to PC via USB Cable.
5: Wait for drivers to install and restart PC (if prompted)
Backup your phone from Samsung Kies by right-clicking and selecting Backup in the left hand side.
6: Open Samsung Kies and re-connect your Tab to PC. A notice showing New Firmware Update will prop up. Click on Update.
The update will take about 30 minutes to complete (or depending on your connection). Make sure you have your device fully charged. Follow all instructions on the screen before clicking “Update”.
Note that you cannot cancel the process once started. Continue only if you are sure your computer won’t shut down during update.
