Where’s My Droid for Galaxy Tab
Ever misplaced your phone when its on silent mode? Or want to know the GPS location of your stolen Droid? Where’s My Droid uses commands to turn off Silent mode and start ringing loudly with ‘Wheres My Droid’ for a default command. Location of the phone can be traced only if GPS is on in the lost device. The commands are sent to the missing phone via sms. The default for location command is ‘GPS My Droid’.
I doubt something as big as a tablet could often get lost but smart phones have this unfortunate habit. Where’s My Droid solves the problem if the phone is on Silent mode or even if its not, the phone starts ringing at full volume. Location of the phone can be found fairly accurately, but only if GPS is on in that device. Anyway, if your phone gets stolen, the first thing chucked out would be the sim card, so the real purpose for this app is to find misplaced phones that you don’t remember putting anywhere.
You just have to send ‘Wheres My Droid’ command from another phone to the lost device via sms. The device will automatically turn off silent mode and will ring, enabling you to find it easily if its nearby. Download it free from the Android Market by searching for ‘Wheres My Droid’.
